Hydraulic system for the outer gate of the Eiger Railway mountain station
Three companies were involved in the project.
The project management was carried out by Rowi Tech.
The steel construction work was carried out by Creator AG.
We were allowed to plan and manufacture the complete hydraulic unit. We also planned and assembled the control system.
The hydraulic unit is operated with a 07.50KW 400VAC electric motor in the FI.
The QX23 internal gear pump from Bucher Hydraulics is the centerpiece for perfect and reliable operation.
This enables us to guarantee excellent opening and closing of the door in a wide and low speed range.
The cylinders were designed with our 350 bar standard components and thus offer the perfect solution for the rough conditions on the Eiger at very low temperatures as well as in storms and hail.
